Blue at the ENO’s London Coliseum

Scott Fleary Productions was proud to bring our expertise in scenic construction to English National Opera’s production of Blue at the London Coliseum. This ambitious project required the fabrication of an 8m-high, vertically rotating drum, housing a 6m x 3m room.

Location: London Coliseum

The fully automated system enabled projection-mapped video content to synchronize seamlessly with the drum’s movement, creating a striking visual effect. Our South London workshop team, led by Project Manager Andrew Mitchel, engineered a solution that balanced structural integrity, weight efficiency, and mechanical precision.

From the carefully designed load distribution system to the custom-built motorized drive and automated control integration, every element of this build was designed for seamless performance. This project highlights our ability to deliver technically demanding scenic solutions for the theatre industry.
